A New Chapter of Strength and Spirit

I’m so glad you’re here. This is an invitation to come home to yourself, gently, fully, and in your own time.

At 65 and beyond, life can still open in ways you may not have imagined. Restorative movement is an uplifting, energetic way to return to your most authentic self and shape a new, vibrant pattern for aging.

I love this work. At 75, I understand what it means to want to maintain physical fitness, mental clarity, and a youthful spirit. Many of the people I work with don’t have a trainer and don’t want to set foot in a gym. The good news? You don’t have to. You don’t have to sweat it out or exercise until you’re out of breath to feel good in your body.

We’re talking about feeling fantastic, having the ability to say, “Yes, I’ll take that trip, I’ll go on that safari. I can do this at 70, 80, even 90.” I love sharing this stage of life with others. We share something that is really fun because we know how young we are inside.

And if you’ve misplaced your sense of adventure, I’d be honored to help you find it again.

A Gentle, Proven Approach

I’m versatile in yoga and many other disciplines. I’ve had a long, extensive career in this area. I guide you one hour at a time through mindful breathing and gentle practices, so you can begin releasing the burdens of stress and loss.

Little by little, you will start to experience the joy of living in a body that feels both lighter and more grounded. Instead of feeling anxious about the future, you can chart a new course with confidence.

What I’m offering here is something simple. No pitch, no pressure, no hype. Just a thorough, effective approach drawn from decades of practice, and one I live myself. I can kick up into a handstand. I can dive roll into the ocean.

I live pain-free and take no medications. This work speaks for itself.

Finding Ease and Joy Again

We’ll begin by talking about what you’re experiencing and what you hope for. Then we’ll shape a program that honors your goals and any physical realities. I’ll help you find a way to move through life with more ease, more joy, and a deeper sense of peace.

Many who come to me simply want to feel good in their bodies again, maybe to sleep peacefully without medication, move without pain, or wake with more energy. Often, it’s not a tougher workout they need, but a safe, gentle place to begin again.

Together, we’ll explore movements and practices that can ease stiffness, restore balance, and bring gentle strength back to your body. Over time, many find renewed independence, clearer thinking, steadier moods, and a reduced risk of chronic concerns, all while simply enjoying life more.

This work starts with letting go, slowing down, and remembering what it feels like simply to be.

Steady Steps: Safer Movement, Stronger Living

Falls are a major public health concern for adults aged 65 and older in the United States. They are a leading cause of injury, loss of independence, and death in this population.

Approximately 14 million adults aged 65+ experience a fall each year—about 1 in 4 older adults.

Why does this happen? Well, as we age, we lose strength and balance. Chronic issues like poor vision or hearing, arthritis, or osteoporosis add to the risk. Medications can cause dizziness, and home hazards—like poor lighting or loose rugs—don’t help.

Prevalence
  • 1 in 4 adults aged 65+ falls each year in the U.S.
  • The risk of falling increases with age due to changes in strength, balance, and coordination
  • Falls are the leading cause of injury-related death among adults aged 65+
  • In 2021, there were 38,742 fall-related deaths in this group
  • Death rate: approximately 78 per 100,000 adults aged 65+
  • 20%–30% of falls result in moderate to severe injuries
  • Common injuries include:
    • Head trauma
    • Hip fractures (often requiring surgery and extended recovery)
    • Bruising and lacerations
  • Each year, falls result in approximately:
    • 3 million emergency department visits
    • 1 million hospitalizations

1. Physical Changes

  • Decreased muscle strength
  • Reduced balance and mobility

2. Chronic Conditions

  • Vision impairment
  • Hearing loss
  • Arthritis
  • Osteoporosis

3. Medications

  • Side effects such as dizziness, sedation, or blood pressure changes

4. Environmental Hazards

  • Poor lighting
  • Loose rugs or clutter
  • Lack of grab bars or handrails
  • Fall-related deaths among older adults have increased significantly over the past decade (approximately 50–60% increase, depending on dataset and timeframe)
  • Emergency department visits for falls have also risen substantially

1. Exercise Programs

  • Balance and strength training (e.g., tai chi, yoga, resistance work)
  • Can reduce fall risk by 20%–30%

2. Home Safety Improvements

  • Remove tripping hazards
  • Improve lighting
  • Install grab bars and railings

3. Health Management

  • Regular vision and hearing evaluations
  • Medication review with a healthcare provider

4. Assistive Devices

  • Proper use of canes or walkers when needed
  • 1 in 4 older adults falls annually
  • ~14 million falls per year
  • ~annually falls account for about 684,000 deaths globally
  • Leading cause of injury-related death in 65+,
  • 37.3 million fall related requiring medical intervention
  • 3 million ER visits / 1 million hospitalizations yearly
  • 20–30% of falls cause serious injury
  • Exercise reduces fall risk by up to 30%

Falls among older adults are common but largely preventable. Evidence-based interventions—including exercise, environmental modifications, and medical management—can significantly reduce fall risk, improve quality of life, and decrease healthcare burden.

Restorative Movement Masterclass

This masterclass delivers a structured, evidence-based approach to improving balance, reducing physical discomfort, and restoring confident, functional movement in older adults.

The session directly addresses the most common and consequential challenges associated with aging—loss of balance, reduced mobility, stiffness, and fear of falling—through a practical system integrating breathwork, gentle mobility, and targeted strength.

Falls are the leading cause of injury among adults over 65, with approximately 1 in 4 older adults experiencing a fall each year. Effective prevention requires specific intervention: balance training, lower-body strength, coordination, and proprioceptive awareness.

This masterclass translates those principles into clear, safe, and immediately usable practices.

Nurturing Strength and Mobility

My holistic approach is geared to enhance your flexibility, mobility, strength, and balance. With stretches, classic yoga positions, and movements that focus on body areas whose functioning you want to improve, you’ll start feeling more comfortable. These sessions can be done in person or from anywhere in the world through Zoom.

Feel Better, Move Easier

I can’t promise that you’ll be totally without pain, but you’ll have less and less of it, physically and emotionally, as we continue our journey together.

Older adults can benefit from physical fitness as much as anyone else. You’re likely to find that you’re enjoying:
